Overview
Kumamura Masaichiro was the mayor of Kuma Village for 8 years and of Tenryu City for 24 years. He contributed to the the mergers of villages and towns to realize the municipalization of the city. He also worked for the consolidation of community infrastructure. He was named honorary citizen of Tenryu City (present Tenryu-ku, Hamamatsu) on November 3, 1983.
