Biography
He thought it would be less trouble riding a bicycle if it had an engine when he was crossing a bridge over the Tenryu River, the Kaketsuka Bridge, against the wind by bicycle. Promptly, he undertook its development and made a motorcycle called Power Free in 1951. The motorcycle employed a unique mechanism, the Double Sprocket Wheel, which allowed pedaling when its engine stopped. It was a huge hit.
In 1955, He and the president of the company then, Suzuki Michio, introduced the Japan’s first compact car, Suzulight.
